The holiday season is a time when many people turn their attention to giving. Although this should be a joyful process, it is often one filled with stress, as we struggle to come up with ideas of what to give others.

This year, why not focus on the gift of excellent communication? It’s something that you have an abundant supply of and can have a lasting impact well beyond the holidays.

    I feel that the process of doing all of these, is reflected in #8, the gift of a good example. I try very hard to listen to what my co-workers are saying by putting down my cell phone, looking them in the eye. I don’t just wait for them to finish talking so that I may relate my own experience. Listening well is a powerful “good example” , and I hope that if I lead by example, others may follow.
