HUMAN Communication in an AI World
AI can write the message.
You still have to have the conversation.
Technology can write our emails, suggest the right words, and even help us prepare for difficult conversations. But it can't replace the human skills we need to listen, connect, build trust, and work through disagreements.
I help organizations strengthen those skills to develop better leaders, stronger teams, and more effective workplaces.
Technology Keeps Getting Smarter.
Are We Getting Better at Communicating?
We have more ways than ever to exchange information, and technology makes it easier to find the right words. But that doesn't necessarily mean we're getting better at understanding each other.
Unspoken expectations. Feedback that never gets delivered. Employees who don't feel heard. Customer conversations that go sideways. These communication problems rarely stay small. They create misunderstandings, damage trust, increase conflict, and affect productivity and the bottom line.
And when it's easier to send another message than have an honest conversation, the human skills behind effective communication can get neglected.
Through workplace communication training, interactive workshops, and engaging keynotes, I help leaders and teams strengthen those skills.
Because better communication isn't just about what we say. It's about how well we understand, connect with, and work with each other.
About me
I've spent more than 20 years helping people do something that sounds simple but can be surprisingly difficult: communicate effectively with other human beings.
I'm Amy Castro, a human communication expert, professional speaker, trainer, and author. I've worked with thousands of professionals across industries, helping them improve communication, strengthen relationships, navigate conflict, develop leadership skills, and get better results.
My approach is practical, interactive, and grounded in real-world experience. I don't believe people become better communicators just by listening to someone talk about communication. They need to recognize what isn't working, learn what to do differently, and practice skills they can use in real situations.
My expertise is also grounded in education. I hold a bachelor's degree in Journalism from The George Washington University and a master's degree in Communication with an emphasis in Human Communication Theory from the University of Northern Colorado.
In 2014 I also earned the Certified Speaking Professional® (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association.
In a world where technology can do more of our talking for us, I'm more committed than ever to helping people develop the communication skills they need to connect, lead, and work effectively with others.
